Our frames are made from 100% hardwood (basswood). Finishes are completely handcrafted and therefore each frame has a unique look. We use Composition gold leaf, not gold-toned paint, and 12kt or 23kt gold leaf is available on request.
Please call us at 719.242.8482, or email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
We cut frames to any size you specify - we do not charge a premium for custom sizes. We do price custom sizes to the next highest whole inch. For example, an 11 1/2" x 16" frame will be priced at the 12" x 16" size. Additionally, if you have ordered from us 3 times or less, we may ask you to pre-pay for frames that are cut to non-standard sizes.
Works on Paper (Pastels, Watercolors, Etchings, etc.)
While many of our clients are oil or acrylic painters, our frames can beautify works on paper as easily as paintings done on stretched canvas or board. Our suggested method for framing works on paper avoids the use of matting or linen liners - although either can be used in conjunction with our frames. First, archivally mount the painting or drawing to a museum-grade substrate. Next, cut glass to fit the frame (the frame was built to the outer dimensions of the work on paper). Then add invisible spacers behind the glass, under the rabbet, and insert the mounted painting or drawing. Finally, secure the mounted art with framer's points, and attach a dust cover to the back. This method is totally archival, cost-effective, allows the artist to use finished-corner frames, and gives the work a more classic look than traditional matting and framing.
Additionally, watercolors painted on heavily deckled paper can be "floated" to display the beauty of the deckled edges.

Returns and Cancellations
We accept returns on standard sized frames only, 16"x20" and under, within 30 days of purchase. Standard sizes are 6"x8", 8"x10", 9"x12", 10"x12", 11"x14", 12"x16", 14"x18", and 16"x20". Frame must be unused, undamaged, in the original shipping crate, and shipped back to us at your expense. A refund will be credited, minus the original shipping charges, if all of the above conditions apply.
Returns for a refund will not be given on custom frames, or frames over 16"x20". If you are not happy with the finish on these larger or custom frames, you may return them at your expense for a re-finish. Re-finish charges and re-shipping charges will apply - please ask us for a quote on re-finish charges before returning the frame.
If you are ordering from us for the first time, we highly recommend ordering a smaller, standard-sized frame first to make sure you like our finishes.
If your frame order has not yet been cut, we will accept a cancellation. We generally cut within 3 days of you placing your order. Please note that once your frame order is cut, we cannot accept cancellations. Your order is a contract with us to provide a finished frame and you are obligated to purchase the frame after having placed the order. Having said that, if at all possible we'll try to work with you to find new buyers for standard size frames 16"x20" and under that you need to cancel. Anything larger than this, or a custom/non-standard size, we cannot accept a cancellation on. Please consider your order carefully before placing it with us.
